Welcome to LoudCity. Whether you're new to webcasting, or a seasoned pro, we hope you'll grow with us. Here are some essentials to make sure you get off to a good start.

Launch Rule Reminder

Remember to send listeners to your LoudCity-hosted page to tune in. It's really important. If you don't, you're not covered by our license. Never launch music protected by copyright from your website.

Always send valid song information

All music performed on your station must include metadata when played. Specifically, your encoder must send Now Playing information in the format Artist - Title

No deviation from this format is allowed. If you deviate, we can't log plays, and you're not legal.

Be seen in our directory

Our listener directory sees thousands of listeners a day. To be listed prominently, you should make sure your station has a logo, active media servers, a proper name/description, and defined genres.

Be patient when starting something from nothing

It takes time to build a following. You can increase your listenership by being on the air 24 hours a day, and providing listeners with a stream that is Flash player-compatible (MP3 streams work best). Allow a few weeks of broadcasting for the word to spread about your station. In time, if the content is good, it will grow.
