About me

Been a Texas Music fan since mid-70's, when it was called "progressive country"--Jerry Jeff, Rusty, Lost Gonzo's, Guy Clark, Willie, Waylon, Joe Ely, Ray Wylie and the Cowboy Twinkies, etc. Survived the very lean "nashville" years, then the early 90's brought us Robert Earl, Jack, Pat, Charlie and Bruce, Ray Wylie--again, etc. The new millenium brought us the Red Dirt gang. (ain't too bad for a bunch of Okies!) And now, thanks to Al Gore and "his internet", we are able to enjoy God's favorite music when ever WE want to hear it, not when some program director finaly decides to go renegade on the System! I'm extremely fortunate to be only a few hour's drive to Gruene Hall, Floore's Country Store, Shroeder Dance Hall, and even a couple of decent venues in the Corpus Christi area. Enough for now, will add more later...
