HPR1: The Classic Country Channel - Live Streaming Audio

Heartland Public Radio's webcasts can be received by virtually every laptop or desktop PC or Macintosh equipped with a broadband Internet connection capable of streaming audio at 128 kilobits per second such as Cable, DSL or a Wi-Fi hotspot. Choose your preferred player below and click the corresponding link to launch it.

What you need

Heartland Public Radio no longer streams a low bandwidth audio stream due to increased costs associated with streaming audio online along with a sharp decrease in demand for that stream. To listen to HPR's live web casts, you will need a sound card on your computer, a broadband Internet connection, and an audio player like RealPlayer, iTunes, Windows Media Player or WinAmp.

Alternately, you may also use one of many consumer Internet radio receivers like those made by Roku Labs, Chumby, etc. to tune into Heartland Public Radio via Internet Protocol.

Some, but not all, mobile phones are able to tune into Heartland Public Radio. Your phone will need to be able to stream mp3 audio and it must have broadband Internet service i.e. G3 and/or Wi-Fi. Please note that by listening to HPR via your mobile phone device, you may incur data charges from your carrier. It is important that you become familiar with your service plan before streaming HPR's audio on your mobile telephone.

The Broadcast URL information included on this page will help you in programming these devices to receive HPR1: The Classic Country Channel.
