The subnavigation listen links are set up for Winamp, Windows Media Player (WMP),
Realplayer and iTunes. Broadband users have many choices. Dial-up users
have the Windows Media Player WMA option which streams at
32K on a dial-up connection. If your browser asks for your permission
for you to open a file, do so, More information on connections is available a
bit farther down on this page. Additionally, you have the option of using the embedded Windows Media Player by clicking on the Web Player button below.
Streaming Audio Connections
Three different types of audio streams are available for listening To
Lead Me To The Rock Radio; 32K Windows Media for Dial-Up
users, and 64K mp3 and 128K mp3 for Broadband users.
To tune in, click the "Listen" button on any Lead Me
To The Rock web page. This takes you to the custom launch page.
(It is this page). Click on the appropriate connect button for your
situation; Broadband or Dial-up and preferred media player. You may
also use the embedded Windows Media Player on this page. The broadband
link plays the 128K mp3 stream, the Dial-Up link plays the 32K Windows
Media Stream, which is also port 80 compliant for those behind
restrictive firewalls.
For broadband users, Lead Me To The Rock Radio should stream on all
standard media players, such as RealPlayer, iTunes, Windows Media
Player, Winamp and many others.
Media Player Associations
If your computer loads the wrong media player by default, or not load a
player at all, even though you select a player that you have installed
on your computer, you have a conflict with your media players. To
resolve this, go to your media player that may be causing the conflict,
navigate to the preferences area and uncheck any boxes marked "MPEG
Audio and MP3 Playlists." Once that is done, try connecting again, and
it should load the audio stream in the player you selected. You may
also need to set the correct associations in your new preferred media player.
Other Issues
Finally, realize at times there may be issues with congestion from the
streamserver, power outages and computer crashes that may affect your
connection. If you try to connect, and can't, or the audio drops out
and you lose your connection, try to re-connect. If you are still
unable to connect, or hear nothing, please try back at a later time. We
do our best to keep the streams running, but sometimes things occur
that are out of our control. Thank you!
